that LAK’s collections are second to Ghajini. What’s the truth? If LAK is the second highest grossing film after Ghajini, then why is it
being said that it has broken Ghajini’s record? ANSWER: Well, Love Aaj Kal is on par with the second biggest hit of 2008 (Rab Ne Bana DI Jodi) but the film or any other film for that matter is yet to match the historic collections witnessed on the 25th of December last year. The first week nett (in India) of Love Aaj Kal is 40 crores plus, the film is by far the biggest hit of 2009 and easily Saif’s biggest solo money spinner. But the collections are about 25 - 30% lower than Ghajini. Update: Love Aaj Kal has fallen heavily in Week 2. Second week should be around 12 crores which should take its overall total close to 55 crores. 2 weeks combined would fall well short of Ghajini’s first week nett!!! - Indicine.com
